Since 1966 the Farrington family have desired to be stewards of the land, farming in a way that enables them to continue to farm for generations to come.
The range currently includes spring greens, green and red kale, and cavolo nero. All plants are grown in the nursery at Anchorage Estate, courtesy of the amazing Farringtons Plants team. This gives them complete control from seed to harvest and enabling them to deliver better controls for achieving program continuity.
The team have also reduced their carbon footprint by changing how they grow their crops and adopting a technique called strip tilling. Compared with conventional farming methods, they are able to reduce the number of operations required to prepare the seed bed and also dramatically reduce the amount of fertiliser. The team will continue to innovate and look at all process to ensure that they farm from generation to generation.
